Hot chamber die casting is suitable for low melting point metals. It is currently mainly used in die casting production of zinc, lead and other alloys.
Applicable metals
Zinc: a commonly used die casting metal with good fluidity, suitable for complex parts production, and excellent casting surface treatment performance.
Lead: low melting point (327°C), can be directly used for hot chamber die casting, but due to environmental protection issues, its use has been gradually reduced.
Other related metals
Magnesium: melting point 650°C, usually cold chamber die casting (to avoid oxidation and equipment loss).
Aluminum: melting point 660°C, mostly cold chamber die casting (to prevent high temperature oxidation).
The pressure of hot chamber die casting machine is usually less than 50MPa, which is mainly suitable for the production of small precision parts.
